Texas A&M Cornerback Recruiting Update: Aggies Eyeing Strong Finish in 2027 Cycle

A football player in a black uniform with the number 9 stands confidently against a blurred stadium background, with the Texas A&M logo prominently displayed.

As it stands, Texas A&M currently holds two cornerback commitments in the 2027 class: five-star CB Raylaun Henry and three-star CB Hakim Frampton.

The Aggies are expected to add at least one more corner, with the potential to take two additional prospects depending on how the board shapes out.

Based on recent developments, John Meredith remains the top candidate to join this cornerback group. That sentiment hasn’t changed, as Texas A&M continues to be in a strong position in his recruitment.

Another name to monitor closely is five-star defensive back Joshua Dobson. After speaking with sources, it appears Texas A&M is firmly in the mix and likely sits within his top group of schools.

Additionally, Taelyn Mayo, a standout from Lewisville, has seen his recruitment trend toward the Aggies in recent weeks. His situation will be one to watch as things continue to develop.

With multiple high-level targets still on the board, Texas A&M is in position to close out a very strong cornerback class in the 2027 cycle.
