One of the top defensive backs in his class, Raylaun Henry, continues to show why Texas A&M landed a major piece for its future secondary. Since announcing his commitment, Henry says the process has only reinforced his decision.
“It’s been a great process,” Henry shared. “I feel like I made the right decision and I’m trusting in coach Elko.”
That trust stems from the relationships he’s built in College Station. Henry pointed to his connection with the defensive staff as a major factor, noting that he’s developed strong bonds across the board and believes they’ll play a key role in his development.
“I have a great relationship with coach BGA, coach Lyle, and coach Tony,” he said. “I feel like they are a great coaching staff and will help push me into becoming a great corner.”
While many top prospects continue to explore their options after committing, Henry made it clear that isn’t the case for him. The five-star cornerback emphasized that his recruitment is effectively shut down.
“I’m 1,000% locked in with A&M,” Henry said. “I’m only taking visits there.”
Beyond his own commitment, Henry has already begun working behind the scenes to help build out Texas A&M’s class. He mentioned several fellow prospects he’s in contact with, signaling his intent to be a recruiter for the program moving forward.
“I’m working on Kaden Henderson, andEric McFarland, We need all of them.” He said.
With his combination of talent, confidence, and early leadership, Henry is shaping up to be more than just a cornerstone on the field for the Aggies — he’s becoming a key voice in the class as well.
