Texas A&M remains actively involved in the recruitment of five-star cornerback John Meredith and continues to push to land the nation’s No. 1 CB.

The Aggies have already put together a strong defensive back class this cycle, and they’re positioning themselves to stay in the mix for the top prospect in the country. While Texas has built significant momentum and continues to press hard, sources indicate that Texas A&M is not out of the race and still has a legitimate chance as things play out.
That said, if a decision were made today, the edge would likely go to Texas. For A&M, the upcoming official visits will be critical—they’ll need to make a strong impression there, instead of a potential decision come May.
This recruitment is far from over, and I’ll continue to monitor and provide updates as it develops.
