Texas A&M has its 26th commit for the 2027 recruiting class, adding Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep 4-star linebacker Mikahi Allen Saturday afternoon.

Allen had offers from numerous high-powered schools, including Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee and Miami, among many others. He narrowed his list down to three — the Aggies, Texas and South Carolina — before announcing his commitment Saturday.
Allen has been on the national radar for some time, picking up his first scholarship offer more than two years ago. The Aggies offered him in May of 2025 and kept after him, with New Jersey native Elijah Robinson playing a key role in his recruitment.
The 4-star linebacker only took two official visits, to Illinois and A&M. He also took unofficial visits to Texas and South Carolina, but didn’t add them to the official list. By the time he visited College Station on the weekend of May 29, he was already considered an Aggie lean by many. After that weekend, they were certainly the leader in the clubhouse.
Allen likely concludes one of A&M’s best group of linebacker commits in recent memory, joining 5-star Kaden Henderson and speedy 3-star Aston Whiteside. The 2027 class now has commitments from players from nine different states and Australia, with New Jersey added with Allen’s commitment.
