Camp Storylines
Who will start at left tackle? This was supposed to be a foregone conclusion, with Adams being brought over after having put up a clean sheet in 2025 in all nine games he played in (he did not play against A&M). But Rogers, one of the top offensive linemen in the 2025 class, started to come into his own during the spring. So now, the two will battle it out in the summer.
Is Formby as good as advertised? One of the reasons he left Alabama is that he was spun inside to guard during the second half of last season. It wasn’t because he was playing poorly; the Tide just had far more capable tackles than guards. He wanted to play tackle and that contributed to his arrival in Aggieland. He had an excellent spring and the coaching staff is excited to see what he can do.
What is Bourdon going to do? Coach Mike Elko has gone out of his way to praise Bourdon for the better part of a year, but two veterans were brought in to, essentially, block his rise up the depth chart. Bourdon will be a primary backup, but he could end up moving inside to left guard if the staff thinks he’s a better option. He got some snaps there in the spring.
