Texas A&M Five-Star Intel

Kennedy Brown – The five-star OL out of Kingwood has been a major priority for A&M for over a year now. After checking in with sources, there’s a strong feeling internally that the Aggies are in a great spot. At this point, it would honestly be surprising if A&M didn’t land him, and that confidence seems justified.

Albert Simien – Another five-star offensive lineman, this one out of Louisiana. He was just at LSU for an official visit, and the new staff is pushing hard to keep him home. Still, A&M and Notre Dame continue to stand out here. He plans to take all of his OVs, but as of now, I’d still lean A&M to get it done.

John Meredith – This recruitment has gotten really interesting. He’s been seen as an A&M lean for a while, but over the past few weeks Texas has made a serious push, especially with their staff getting more involved. It’s shaping up to be A&M vs. Texas down the stretch. Even with the surge from Texas, A&M has been the consistent team here, and I still give the edge to the Aggies.

Mark Matthews – Was on campus for multiple days this past week, wrapping up what should be his final visit of the spring before a decision. He’s expected to commit sometime in the next couple of weeks, likely before official visits. From what I’ve heard, A&M has done everything they can to make this one interesting. That said, Miami still looks like the team to beat. Being that close to campus, it’s going to be tough for A&M to pull him away, and I’d have to see it to believe it.
